CBD also known as (Canna-bid-i-ol) is a chemical compound extracted from the Hemp plant. CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), our body’s cell-signalling system which offers natural relief - supporting a productive workout whilst aiding recovery; assisting with sleep; managing anxiety and achieving greater general health and overall well-being. Zero Mind® products will not get you high as they contain 0.0% THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and are legal to purchase in the UK.

CBD interacts with the ECS and doesn’t bind to CB1 or CB2 receptors, preventing endocannabinoids from being broken down. This allows them to have more of an effect on your body. While the details of how it works are still under debate, research suggests that Hemp Extract can help with pain, nausea, and other symptoms associated with multiple conditions

This complex cell-signalling system plays a role in regulating a range of functions and processes, including: appetite and digestion, metabolism, chronic pain, inflammation and other immune system responses, mood, learning and memory, motor control, sleep, cardiovascular system function, muscle formation, bone growth, liver function, reproductive system function, stress, skin and nerve function.

The ECS involves three core components: endocannabinoids, receptors, and enzymes. Endocannabinoids - also called endogenous cannabinoids, are molecules made by your body. They’re similar to cannabinoids, but they’re produced by your body and they help keep your internal functions running smoothly. Your body produces them as needed, making it difficult to know what typical levels are for each.
Receptors - these receptors are found throughout your body. Endocannabinoids bind to them in order to signal that the ECS needs to take action. There are two main endocannabinoid receptors: CB1 receptors, which are mostly found in the central nervous system & CB2 receptors, which are mostly found in your peripheral nervous system, especially immune cells.
Endocannabinoids can bind to either receptor. The effects that result depend on where the receptor is located and which endocannabinoid it binds to.

For example, endocannabinoids might target CB1 receptors in a spinal nerve to relieve pain. Others might bind to a CB2 receptor in your immune cells to signal that your body’s experiencing inflammation, a common sign of autoimmune disorders. Enzymes - are responsible for breaking down endocannabinoids once they’ve carried out their function.

These functions all contribute to homeostasis, which refers to stability of your internal environment. For example, if an outside force, such as pain from an injury or a fever, throws off your body’s homeostasis, your ECS kicks in to help your body return to its ideal operation.

There are many ways to absorb CBD into the body, all of which can be beneficial – oils, edibles, vapes and topicals are the most popular. There’s no one-size-fits-all recommendation and each method delivers CBD to your body in a different way. Focus on what area you want to treat and chose a product that best suits your needs.

Zero Mind® products contain 0% THC, so there is no psychoactive ingredient that could cause a ‘high’ or drowsiness so they’re safe to use in any situation.

Zero Mind® products are sold as a dietary supplement. We are unable to make any claims about its medicinal capabilities but there is a tremendous amount of testimony for positive health benefits, without causing psychoactive effects. Our own founder has reported the positive impact using CBD Oil has made on his own health and well-being. We would direct you to do your own research on the Hemp plant, and the various products made from it.

Sublingual Consumption: The area beneath the tongue is rich with capillaries and is the location of a vein called the sublingual gland. When a substance is administered to the sublingual gland, it is absorbed directly into the bloodstream. This is known as sublingual consumption or sublingual administration. Sublingual consumption is a direct method of CBD consumption and impacts the body far quicker than other methods maintaining higher availability, only being degraded from enzymes in the mouth’s saliva.
MCT Oil (Medium-chain triglyceride) has been dubbed a super fuel since your body absorbs MCTs more rapidly than long-chain triglycerides (LCTs), which contain more carbons in their fatty acid chains. MCT Oil is most commonly extracted from Coconut Oil, as more than 50% of the fat in Coconut Oil comes from MCTs.
CBD is legal in the UK providing the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) level does not exceed 0.2%.
